This question affects more than individual tasks. It changes operating models, recruitment, leadership and the structure of entire companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decisive point is that an AI model alone does not create a productivity leap. This opens up two very different possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company can try to complete the same work with fewer people. It can also use the greater leverage to achieve considerably more with its existing team, develop new services or reach markets that were previously out of range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second option is strategically more interesting. The decisive question is not only which work disappears. It is: What suddenly becomes possible when people and AI can create much greater output together?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is introducing an AI tool not enough?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI can obtain data faster, support processes and prepare information. But if the same hierarchies, reporting loops and coordination meetings remain in place, the company does not automatically become faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBut if the organisational model is not adapted, there will be no effect.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>\u2014 Frank Rechsteiner (translated from German)<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If an employee can obtain the information they need immediately with the help of several AI assistants, but the decision is made a week later at another level of hierarchy, the decision remains the bottleneck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The productivity lever therefore emerges only when companies also change their leadership and organisation: less coordination and control, faster decisions and responsibility placed closer to the actual work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does this look like in practice?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An example from finance shows how this division of labour can work. A multi-year financial model for a company had to be reviewed. AI first checked figures and calculations. It then identified possible accounting errors and suggested corrections. Those suggestions were subsequently reviewed by a person with the relevant expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI shortened work that would have taken considerably longer if completed manually. Its speed was not the only deciding factor. It takes on a different role. People no longer need to perform every individual step themselves, but they must still interpret results, identify mistakes and take responsibility for the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI orchestration is more than a single prompt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AI orchestration is not a one-off instruction. A problem is examined repeatedly and from different perspectives\u2014for example, from the perspective of a CEO, a start-up or a customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI keep challenging the AI until I have produced the optimal result.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>\u2014 Frank Rechsteiner (translated from German)<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Experience, expertise and human judgement remain part of the process. Greater output does not come from accepting the first answer without review. It comes from the ability to direct AI deliberately, ask better follow-up questions and assess its proposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What changes in recruitment?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If AI takes over a large share of existing activities, a conventional job profile is no longer enough. In the accounting example, a company would not simply look for someone to process incoming and outgoing invoices manually. It would need an experienced person who understands the professional process and can use AI to create a much greater output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This produces a different value proposition. A candidate no longer presents only their previous activities. They demonstrate what contribution they can make in combination with AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The role of recruitment changes accordingly. It becomes less about filling as many familiar job profiles as possible. Companies need people who combine experience and expertise with the ability to orchestrate AI effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is the personal step so difficult?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One essential barrier is human. A candidate who explains that AI will perform a large share of their previous work may initially fear appearing lazy or admitting that they can be replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This reluctance also reflects a question of self-confidence: Do I trust myself to make a clear value promise? Do I understand my experience, my abilities and the value I can create together with AI?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new way of working therefore requires more than technical capability. People must be prepared to leave a familiar role, describe their impact differently and take responsibility for that promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI productivity changes the rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tenfold lever is not a finished implementation plan and not a guarantee for every company. It is an invitation to think more ambitiously about the combination of people and machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company that merely inserts AI into existing workflows accelerates individual steps.
