How to become a self-determined person

Living a self-determined life shouldn’t really be a big problem in our free society – after all, the possibilities for shaping your life are almost unlimited. But for me, my reality looked very different for a very long time.

In my personal presentation to the outside world, almost everything seemed perfect: married, managing director of a software company, penthouse in Munich City, very active in sports, great lifestyle, regular long vacations. Everything was great, right?

But there was a bubbling volcano hidden in my inner world, as I know today – which somehow threatened to erupt. I felt this power, but not in a constructive way and so I pushed it away and “ignored” some things inside me.

Constantly annoyed and irritated by everything, rarely satisfied, always stressed, little time. I had to keep going, higher, faster, further, because I couldn’t stand the here and now and therefore myself. Physical problems were my constant companions.
I thought that was normal in my position – and today I’m telling you: No, it’s not. It wasn’t the top-level job that was my problem, it was me – I was my own problem.

Does that sound familiar?

I thought I had everything under control, my life was going according to plan, apparently very successfully – but I was light years away from a self-determined life, to put it mildly. Driven by myself is a better description, to the point of exhaustion and without any real access to myself. Today I can say that I was in survival mode for years without realizing it: sleeping, eating, working, functioning every day – nothing more and nothing less!

When you are in survival mode, you feel little and especially not yourself. Topics such as these are alien to you:

  1. Emotional stability
  2. Trust in life
  3. Self-love
  4. Self-management
  5. Self-care
  6. Positive beliefs etc.

In my coaching and workshop offer for men “How to become a self-determined man”, we change exactly that for you. I will accompany you on your personal and individual transformation journey, because there is no one-size-fits-all copy & paste standard approach for you – you don’t want to lead a “standard life”, do you?
